Joseph studied Composition for Motion Picture and Television at UCLA from famed film composer David Raksin (LAURA, FOREVER AMBER). In the 20 plus years since he has started his career, he has consistently produced an impressive resume of award-winning series, movies and feature documentaries. Starting off his career as the music director of Luis Valdez’s (LA BAMBA, ZOOT SUIT) acclaimed El Teatro Campesino, he’s worked and collaborated with such artists as Quentin Tarantino, Los Lobos, Jose Feliciano, Slash, Kronos String Quartet, Linda Rondstadt, and Britney Spears on projects that include the Academy Award-nominated feature documentary COLORS STRAIGHT UP, the Emmy Award winning MADE IN LA, Showtime’s award winning and longest running Latino TV series RESURRECTION BLVD; and recently, the Hallmark Channel’s third highest rated movie ever, MEDDLING MOM, starring Sonia Braga. His symphonic and choral work, Misa Azteca, has performed to sold-out crowds at Carnegie Hall, the American Cathedral in Paris, the Sorbonne, the Sydney Opera House, and most recently a packed Walt Disney Concert Hall.
