Summers Henderson

Assistant Editor

Summers Henderson was born in Dallas, Texas. He studied film and literature at Wesleyan University and received a master’s degree in film studies from the University of Texas. He taught film courses at several colleges in the San Francisco Bay area, where he also studied journalism. In 2008 he received a master’s degree in documentary video production from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. He has worked for independent filmmakers in both Boston and San Francisco as an assistant editor, production assistant, researcher and outreach coordinator. His own documentaries have been shown at the Boston Museum of Science, the Connecticut Film Festival, the Boston International Film Festival, and the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Most recently he worked as an editor on the feature documentary “Informant,” which screened at the International Documentary Film Film Amsterdam, won the Grand Jury Prize at DOC NYC, and won the Best Editing Award at the Salem Film Festival.
