Educational Shorts

We have created video modules and shorts for educators as additional resources beyond the film REBEL. The National Park Service commissioned SECRET SOLDER, an 18 minute educational film screening at NPS visitor centers and historic sites around the country, and available for free streaming to educators – please choose Secret Soldier on the left to request the DVD in English or Spanish and learn more.  Other bonus educational shorts, such as a vide on on women soldiers and women’s roles in the Civil War, and a video on the politics of national memory, are available for viewing here by clicking on titles at left. For grades 6-12 teaching plans and REBEL video modules please check out our partner PBS Learning Media.
